Why no native plugin is enough
WordPress and WooCommerce are general-purpose open source software, designed for the whole world. No native extension covers the withdrawal button, which meets a European obligation (Directive (EU) 2023/2673) applicable across the 27 EU member states since 19 June 2026.
You need a dedicated tool that collects the withdrawal request, acknowledges receipt with an email your customer keeps, and archives it, dated and impossible to alter after the fact: proof that holds up (before a judge or the CCPC). Two ways to install it on WordPress
The button in a single tag

Injection plugin (recommended)

Child theme
If you manage a child theme, you can inject the script via the wp_head hook. Never edit the parent theme directly: your changes would be overwritten at the update.

Cache plugins
WP Rocket, LiteSpeed Cache, W3 Total Cache can combine or defer external scripts. If the button does not appear, add backtome.fr/widget.js to your cache plugin's JavaScript exclusions. This is the number one cause of a button that is invisible on WooCommerce.
Security plugins (CSP)
If Wordfence or iThemes Security enforces a strict Content-Security-Policy, allow https://backtome.fr in the script-src directive, otherwise the browser blocks the loading of the button.

A customer can then cancel an order up to a year after the purchase and obtain a full refund. The potential cost quickly exceeds that of getting compliant.
