Create your account, add your site: you get a unique tag in Settings > Installation.

Paste it before `</head>`

Where to paste on Wix

In Settings › Custom Code, add a snippet loaded in the Head of every page

How do I check that the button works?

Open your site in a private window: the blue 'Withdraw from the contract' button appears bottom right. Click it, fill in the test form with your email: you receive the acknowledgement of receipt within a minute, and the withdrawal appears, timestamped, in your BackToMe dashboard.

Code Type: choose 'Essential', not 'Analytics'

On the 'Code Type' tab, keep 'Essential'. This type loads without waiting for the visitor's cookie consent. If you choose 'Functional' or 'Analytics', the tag is only loaded once cookies are accepted: the withdrawal button then disappears for anyone who refuses or ignores the cookie banner, which puts you out of compliance. As the button is a legal obligation, it must appear for everyone.

The tag does not run in the Wix editor

Wix sandboxes its editor. The button will appear neither in the editor nor in the preview, only on the published site. To test it, publish the site ('Publish' button, top right) then open the public URL in a private tab.

Free plan: custom code unavailable

If the 'Custom Code' section does not appear, you are on a free plan. Custom code is reserved for paid plans. Without upgrading to a Premium plan, BackToMe cannot be installed on your Wix site.

Wix Studio / Editor X: a different interface

If you use Wix Studio (the new platform) or the older Editor X, custom code is reached through a sidebar icon rather than through Settings, but the logic is the same: add a snippet in the Head, on all pages, of the 'Essential' type.

I can't see the button on my site

Clear the cache (Ctrl+Shift+R or Cmd+Shift+R) and check that you did publish or save after pasting the tag. On Wix, a server or theme cache can delay the display by a few minutes.

The form won't submit

An ad blocker or a corporate firewall can block the submission. Test in a private window with no extensions: if it works, the blocking comes from the browser, not from BackToMe.

I'm not receiving the acknowledgement of receipt

Check your spam and the promotions tab. The email is sent from notifications@backtome.fr. If nothing arrives after 5 minutes, check the address entered in the site settings: a single typo is enough.

The status stays on 'Not detected'

The button reports to BackToMe when a visitor loads your site. Open it from another device or in a private window, then click '↻ Refresh' in the site settings to re-read the latest detection.
