WiziShop compliance
The withdrawal solution for WiziShop
Last reviewed on
If your WiziShop store sells online to consumers in the EU, the withdrawal button has been mandatory since 19 June 2026 across the 27 EU member states (Directive (EU) 2023/2673; in Ireland, enforced by the CCPC). If your store does not have one yet, you are already past the deadline: every sale concluded without a button extends your customers' withdrawal right to 12 months and 14 days. WiziShop is a French solution, but the obligation still falls on you. BackToMe is added via the back office, without touching the rest of your theme.

Why WiziShop does not provide it
WiziShop may well be a French e-commerce solution, but it is a general-purpose SaaS platform: it does not include a native feature dedicated to the withdrawal button obligation. As with all platforms, bringing your store into compliance is up to you as the merchant.
BackToMe collects the withdrawal request, acknowledges receipt with an email the customer keeps and archives it, dated: proof that holds up (before a judge or the CCPC). The button appears on all your pages (product pages, cart, customer account, order), as European regulation requires.
How to install it on WiziShop
Via the Scripts libres
Configuration > Tags & Services externes > Scripts libres. You paste the BackToMe tag, location <head>, on all pages, ticking « pas de validation RGPD », then you save.
A paid plan is required
Theme customisation (and therefore code injection) is not enabled on the trial plan. If the option does not appear, check your subscription in Mon compte or contact WiziShop support.
The two WiziShop pitfalls to know about
Editing vs publishing
Like most e-commerce SaaS, WiziShop distinguishes editing (visible in the internal preview) from publishing (visible to visitors). Until you have published, the tag is not active on the store. Republish after every change.
CDN cache propagation
WiziShop pages are served via a CDN. After publishing, allow a few minutes for the tag to propagate across all nodes. If after 5 to 10 minutes the button does not appear, open your site in private browsing to bypass your browser cache.
What BackToMe takes care of
The compliant button across your whole store
A visible, permanent withdrawal button, with a clear label, displayed on all your WiziShop pages as European regulation requires.
The automatic acknowledgement of receipt
Every request triggers an acknowledgement of receipt sent to the customer by email, which they keep as proof of their action.
Archiving that stands as proof
Every request is dated and archived in a way that is impossible to alter afterwards: solid proof to present to a judge or an inspector in the event of a dispute.
The merchant notification
You are notified of every withdrawal. The refund is still carried out by you in WiziShop or your payment gateway: BackToMe never touches your payments.
The risk if you don't
Since 19 June 2026, the withdrawal button has been mandatory across the whole EU. Without a compliant mechanism, a B2C WiziShop store is exposed to two cumulative risks: a penalty from the regulator in the buyer's country (in Ireland, the CCPC can fine you up to €60,000, and up to 4% of turnover or €2,000,000 for widespread infringements) and the extension of the withdrawal period to 12 months and 14 days for poorly informed customers.
A customer can then cancel an order up to a year after the purchase and obtain a full refund. The potential cost quickly exceeds that of getting compliant.
